Cabinet glue for m5b

Found a set with a hole drilled through back panel. Plan to glue-in a short section of 1/2" dowel. Any suggestions for glue to secure the plug and seal the cabinet?

Good old Wood Glue should do the trick. If you want more sealing mortite around the inside of the plug should do the trick.

you could also use hot melt glue on the inside to help with complete sealing.
