Changed the caps on one of my RTA 8Ts. It was an ebay kit using Bennic polys. Only cost 25 bucks and thought it would make a difference. I really can't tell any difference. Was a pain in the **** since the low pass was hot glued to the circuit board. Didn't really have all the proper equipment, but got it done.

Dont know if I even want to bother going through all that again with the other speaker. Would it hurt anything if I didn't?

I would recommend buying better components and starting over
    - Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

Get the correct tools first and either way, do the other loudspeaker as well. I would ditch the eBay garbage disposal repair kit and simply source your own parts thru Parts Express or Sonicraft.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I went with Clarity Cap PX caps and Mundorf MR10 resistors on the tweeters, Jantzen caps on the mid-woofers in the RTA11TL and the difference was very noticeable.

Swapping from low grade parts to other low grade parts probably wouldnt yield much change.

well if you think that was a bit of a pain in the rear I'd suggest you NEVER take on any SDA's

There have been many who have come here and asked the same question(I'm one of them) about those parts and all have been met with a resounding NO you can buy better or might as well just leave in the old caps.

Buy better parts and you'll be very pleased with the end result.
