Ever hit railroad tracks so hard your airbag deploys?

This person did.

<object style="height: 390px; width: 640px"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Wx4mKtlJeIs?version=3"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Wx4mKtlJeIs?version=3&quot; type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="640" height="390"></object>

I was gonna post this in the "Post a Video" thread but it's really too special to be hidden there. It needed it's own thread.

There's fails and then there are fails of such distinction that they are of biblical proportions. If someone perished in this, it'd be eligible for a Darwin Award. Yes, this is truly a fail of epic proportions just because of the multi-faceted levels of fail. It is, an EPIC FAIL!

I can't see the video, bah filters, and have never had that happen to me, but...
I had a 'friend' when I was 16 or 17 or so, she would come over in the mornings about 6 or 7 ish for a nice morning visit before school, I think I pissed her off one day and she left in a tissy, we had brick streets with a LARGE dip, she must have hit that dip hard because she called me five minutes after she left, and her bag had deployed in her face. Make me laugh thinking about it now, I still can't believe that happened.

    BWHAHAAHAHAHAH!

How 'effin fast do you think they were going to get that much air? I would imagine the driver will sue the city, county and owners of the tracks.

Let me see if I can dig up a truly historical epic fail that does qualify for a Darwin award. It was in the city where I live..

I used to get airborne on RR tracks back in the day...it was fun...haha.

I was just talking to someone the other day about how someone they knew was pushing round hay bales in their truck and the impact set off a sensor that shut down the fuel pump, although didn't deploy the air bags...lol

Wouldn't surprise me if it was some sort of "hey this car over here was just in a wreck, get help" feature, that is triggered by the airbags. But I ain't a doctor.

Did you check out his other videos? They're all of the same crossing... Apparently it catches a lot of people off guard.

I was wondering that too so I started looking
The Explorer is the first vehicle to use second-row inflatable seat belts, which spread the force of impact across five times the surface area of a conventional belt. They are optional in the XLT and Limited trim levels.. In addition, the Explorer has standard traction control with Roll Stability Control and Curve Control, which provides braking optimized for each wheel. Air bags all around and the SOS Post-Crash Alert System are also standard.

Apparently it is. I think if I was in an accident that'd piss me off after a very short while. Have to jam a screwdriver through the horn or something.

The local officials should have posted a sign that said:
    "DIP IN THE ROAD"

That driver should have had a bumper sticker that read:
    "DIP BEHIND THE WHEEL"
