Any body ever watch this documentary? I just watched it on HBO it is pretty good and opens some eyes.

It is another documentary about big business buying the govt. Only this time it is the judicial branch.

Watched it the other day.... quite interesting indeed.

Unfortunately I feel that they're too obviously one sided in presenting the arguments. They should also show some cases of fraudulent litigations (I can't believe that the number is 0) and if there's any effective way to suppress them instead of imposing the $250k ceiling.

I thought it was fascinating to learn some of the details of these cases that I never knew.

Yea there are fraudulent litigations, but buying judges is wrong no matter what side is presenting the story. It gives companies the power to over rule on what a jury has found necessary.

Just saw the movie and I was shocked. I heard about the case but never about the extent of her injuries. I am in favor of tort reform as our country is way to sue happy and it just drives up the cost of everything. In this case however, I think the settlement was deserved.
