Advent Heritage - new foam on all four 8 inch woofers, absolutely stunning condition. $200

Polk R50 - good shape, black finish. 1 ding on a rear corner. $100

    Nice prices there. Here are some shots of the Advents..not Russ's but they'll give you an idea till he gets his pics up. They are a nice set of floorstanders!

    Just had an offer for $50 on the R50's AND requested I drive to Waco to meet them. Waco is at least two hours EACH way and I drive a Suburban. How much would I net $ wise? Hmmm.

    I've owned a pair of those Advents since new - still have my pair (in need of a re-coning). Very underrated speakers, excellent detail, realistic high end, tight bass. They definitely hold their own against 6xx level B&Ws.

    Here are the specs as i found them online:

    Two 8-inch aluminum-coil woofers, 1-in ferrofluid parabolic dome tweeter
    Power Handling - 150W rms
    Freq response - 42-23,000 Hz +/-3dB
    sens - 89 dB/2.83V/m
    imp - 6 ohms
    x-over point 3500Hz
    THD < 0.5% about 75Hz at 1W
    resonance 55Hz +/- 5Hz
    700/pr

    Those Advents are very nice with solid bass response, warm midrange and a soft high end.
    CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.
