I bought some monoprice interconnect cables that are very tight going into the back of an amp.Is there anything I can put on them to make them slide easier? I don't want to break off the pin in the amp. Thanks Dan

I had the same issues with my monoprice IC's. Are you able to get yours on? Mine were a tight fit but i got them on. Just be gentle with them dont think you should have a problem. Good luck.

Try wiping with DeOxit, & TWIST when you pull/push.

Edit: Pro Gold will work, too

Had the same problem with mine I got from Microprice a couple of months ago. I was afraid I'd break the rca input on the receiver. Figured I'd play it safe and put the new cable on a piece of gear I didn't care about and that was enough to expand the outer sleeve to where it went on nice and easy on the receiver, yet felt firm.

Sometimes people find it hard to justify spending hundreds, let alone thousands, of dollars on cables. I think some of you guys forget that not everyone has a nearly unlimited budget when it comes to audio gear.

Some deoxit should help you slide those cables on. If that doesn't work, try a little KY warming liquid.

SIgnal cable sells some great budget cables, don't have to spend hundreds little alone thousands.

I would think signal cable would be a lot better than monoprice. But hey if the OP is happy I guess that is all that matters.

I do plan to buy some more spendy ones soon but for now they are ok as I'm more in the HT direction

I don't have monoprice I/C but I used to have Monster M550. Those have grip of death and it gets worse over time. It has turbine fin grip that is a **** to take them off.
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

Sometimes people find it hard to justify spending hundreds, let alone thousands, of dollars on cables.

It's more like everyone seems to have the same problem with that brand and they are really cheap, so perhaps it's a case of you get what you pay for. As mentioned, Signal makes affordable cables that don't have that issue.

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....
