Hey Everyone,
I'm looking to purchase a new sub for my H.T., my budget is around $300. I have found 3 so far that have pretty decent reviews and was wondering if anyone out there had experience with any of them or could make and suggestions.
Subs:
BIC America F12 12-Inch 475-Watt ($186)
JBL ES250PBK 400-Watt 12-Inch ($280)
Polk Audio PSW Series PSW505 12-Inch ($230)
PS - I'm currently running 2 Monitor70s, 2 Monitor 40s and a CS2
Thanks In Advance

PSW505 hands down."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963)

Can that budget be stretched just a tad. Your close to the Epik Legend which will out perform all three. Dual 12's in a single cabinet and the reviews are outstanding.

Another option in the BIC series is the PL-200. 12", 250w continuous, 1000w peak, Bash amp.. About $100 more shipped than the PA-200.
I have a PL-200 and am very happy with it. Will add another for dedicated HT. -
Thanks for the suggestions. I can maybe bump up the budget a little bit as long as the wife is cool with it.

Looking at the PL-200 for only $30 over my budget seems pretty decent. I noticed at another thread they compare the PL-200 with the Acoustech H-100 (which I believe is also made by BIC)....anyone have any experience with the two of these?
@EndersShadow: Do you still think the Polk sub would be better than either of these two? -
Not sure if this helps, but I have a pair of BIC 62 bookshelf speakers. Nice speaker for the money. I assume the whole line follows the performance/value trend. Also, have a JBL sub (CSS10) which gets very low yet remains tight.

Not sure, the Epik would win hands down, but between the BIC's and PSW I personally would go PSW, but mostly because I have no familiarity with BIC and am not totally comfortable going with them.
I know they have a decent following at AVSFORUM, so maybe do some searches over there to see what folks are saying."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." I would not go with the BIC. I was not impressed with the 1 I used.engtaz
I love how music can brighten up a bad day. -
