Differences between SL2000 and SL2500

I would like to know how these are difference in terms of sound and if they are interchangable?
I have some Monitor 7 Series II that need new tweeters.

    The sl2500's are smoother and made of completely different materials. No they are not interchangeable.

    Polk makes a replacement silk dome tweeter which is electically compatible (RD0198-1), but they sound better than the sl2500 so you'd need to buy a pair for them to match in each speaker. Cost is approx $102/pr shipped 2 day FedEx.
