Batted Insulation Behind Rc85i?
Hello all,
I purchased some Rc85i for my home theater/music listening area. I know they are not floorstanding, but I didnt have space.
So now on to choice, I have insulation in the walls.
So is this going to be problematic. Can the speakers press against the insulation, or should I remove insulation from that area?
For instance, I was thinking, perhaps, to cut a 24" x 6" piece of cardboard, bend it above the speaker a ft or so and staple to the wall to keep insulation out of the speaker area.
The walls are 8.5' x 6" deep. 16" on center studs. Fireblocked, so that means a 2x6 horizontally mounted around the middle of the wall. the speakers will be installed 6" above that.
Also - side question. What do you guys think about mounting the speakers upside down? Ie, tweeters down? They will be about 5' above ground, so a few feet above listening level. wondering if upside down would be ideal.
