LSiC a good center?
You'd think for their flagship center channel they'd use dual 6.5" woofers, but they didn't. I know all the LSis come with 5.25" drivers but being the center is way more important than fronts/surrounds I don't understand Polk's logic. Maybe I'm wrong and it sound wonderful OR maybe I'll need to buy 2 center channels?

It's an Lsi!! It performs beautifully. You don't need monster drivers to get good sound. Buy it and enjoy.

I am happy with my LSiC as is! Some folks replace the xover on it with 9s and reported a better result. You can search for ezc post several weeks ago on this. I have no complain, on HT or 5.1 since I thought it sounded very clean, detailed, and full w/o the xover replacement.I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

I like mine quite a bit.

Hmmm. If you do a search for ezc you'll find these 2 threads which are worth reading:

They say the LSiC's crossover is different from the LSi9s in the sense that the 9s 5.25" woofers both play more lows, whereas the LSiC's woofers are crossed over differently, where only one plays notes up to 200hz and the other driver up to 2.4 khz. On Polk's site, if you check out both models and go under "specifications" both have the same crossover numbers. When ezc took his crossovers out they were indeed different, so maybe Polk messed up on the website.
After reading those 2 posts I'm not sure if I should use a LSiC for my center or an LSi9. I'm using a front projector so mounting/placement will be no harder no matter which speaker I choose.

are there any pictures of the different crossovers?
Edit: by the way I don't know why you would need more centers, the LSiC does a great job.
