HAHA - Not sure what to call this...

This is pretty much an exact clone of the OMG VMPS, but with an 18" TC Sounds PR

I am looking for cost of drivers as they literally have... maybe 30 minutes of playing time...
We hit 4hz in room with this sub -
I want to go a different direction with my subwoofer design...
So we can do this two ways...
I can sell the sub as it is - just ship everything separately...
Or I can sell just the drivers...

But I would like someone who is willing to either finish the sub... or just fill in the holes, sand it down and paint or wrap it in cloth... or... really anything - It truly is a foundation killer with nice smooth bass

I will also throw in FOUR heavy duty (1/4" post) insulated binding post, the anodized aluminum plate I bought for this...

You wont find a better HT sub for the money...
The parts cost $1089.00
The sub is ready to throw down as it stands - it either needs to be touched up.... or simply just rock it out...
Both active drivers can handle 4,000 watts peak
The 18" PR is tuned right around 11hz, all mass on.

In room running sweeps well below 10hz in my room...

I would like to get atleast 1089 + shipping out of this. I have all the original boxes for the drivers and I can ship the cabinet...
Realistically you would be looking at around 300 in shipping

Worth a shot... If it does not sell at it sits - I will part out the drivers or just use these drivers else where...

My long term goals for this sub would be to add 3/4" plywood, then 3/4" solid wood over the MDF - to make it 3" thick and of course dress it up and make it pretty!

You should have sold me this one to start with. Who ever buys get it, this will be the last sub that they will ever have to own in this life.

    Yeah....

I am looking into other avenues to integrate a sub into a 2 channel set up as well...

This sub is just... to much for me. It is the definition of "epic" "insane" "monster" "beast" - you name it.

We ran it with 800 watts per driver... and I had to leave the room at full tilt with that amplifier. It was just massive in presentation and slam with very quick authority...

And realistically it needs 2000 watts per to really shine

Is that a chicken wing giving the thumbs up in that picture? I love how you flexed for it and don't try to lie as your veins bulging out of your skin give it away....you're a ham

Is it really a good idea to put a wallet with bank and credit cards next to those giant magnets?

You may want to call your bank right now.

It would probably help if you listed the drivers/PR used.

Why does VMPS use two different size active drivers? Usually you see the same diameter active driver.

    Thanks

    LMS R 12, 15 and LMS 18 PR

VMPS uses a 12 and 15 so it can play the upper bass region cleaner and meaner than a dual 15 or single 15 can

As I understand it, the lower bass hz - a large driver does better and for the upper hz, a smaller driver does better. Velodyne did the same thing with their 1812 subwoofer. Hsu did it with the MBM-12 only doing 50 Hz and up and having a larger sub handling 50 hz down. Hope that I got this right.

So does each driver have their own power input or are they ran in series? Thanks

You can do it either way...

I personally recommend in this instance to run two dedicated amplifiers, one for each woofer...

I was going to use dual Crown XLS2000 - bridged

I would be willing to sell it for 360 shipped. As it literally is like new.

I have all the allen wrenches, screws, boxes, manuals,, warranty papers..

And not to mention PE is OOS. I waited 3 months for my 12" LMSR...

So - yep, but definitely giving nothing away
