setup question
Ok I have a setup question regarding the Onkyo Sr800.
Using the test tones my receiver automatically goes to 82db. For
proper setup do I use this level to adjust speaker levels? Using
the Onkyo test tones I had some minus levels on my mains.

Did you use an SPL meter? Best way to do it is with the AVIA calibration DVD and an SPL meter. I believe 85 db is the proper level.

The most important thing, is that all the speakers are equal in loudness when you're done. As far as the Onkyo automatically going to 82- you can set your "reference" listening level if you have a sound meter that way. I wouldn't worry about it, like I said, the more important thing is that the speakers are the same relative to each other.
