Pin to pin for SDA.........

Unknown
edited July 2011 in DIY, Mods & Tweaks
I have a real jerkoff on this forum wanting me to make him a pin to pin SDA umbilical cable for his SDA's.
I will not mention any names.

Wondering if someone knows where to order that particular pin for this project.
It will be a stock input, I just need the pin.
Will a Nordost type/style banana work?
Smaller, bigger?
I have no idea at this point.

I know nothing about this cable never having any experience with SDA's so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Looking for some opinions here.
Many thanks in advance.

    I doubt he's a ****..

If you a quality cable, get Bens advice.

The cable can be made from almost ANY rca plug end. Just snap the outer ring off or with higher end ENDS, you might have to saw that outer part off.

I made one for myself per this forums advice and it works great.I took a interconnect cable of good quality and snaped those four pressure plates off. that alows the pin to be inserted the whole legnth of the pin. It stays snug also. If it's loose , try to carefully spread that pin apart a little bit.

This cheap version of this cable is so easy to make, even a caveman can do it..

Have never made an improved SDA I/C cable, but have replaced the PB connection with another pair of binding posts.

I'd suggest the upgrade of the PB connection, on the binding post plate, to something more industry standard, then your options are endless.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

So there is only a single input right?
So a single 5 way binding post so you could use banana plug/spade?
    to something more industry standard

    Not sure what that means.

Yes, and a Banana termination will obviously work. I've made about a dozen over the years in all kinds of configurations.

It came out to about 16 ga. when all were twisted together, so should be larger than stock anyway (18 ga.).
    Now to do a 12 ga!
