Dimensional speaker volume level

Need to tap the experience of the Polk community once again. The volume of the dimensional speaker in my SDA 2Bs is very low compared to the level of the stereo speakers. If I had to assign a Spinal Tap number to the dimensional speakers, while panning hard left or right, they'd be at a 3, while the stereo speakers are at an eleven. Is this normal? Any help or insights appreciated.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Yes, it's normal, as each dimensional speaker reproduces something based on the difference between left and right stereo signals. If you used a mono source, you might even get a volume of 0 from the dimensional speakers.cristo

Thanks, Cristo. I haven't managed to get as large of a soundstage out of the 2Bs as I have read about on the forums. Been trying different placements to no avail, so I thought it might be the volume of the dimensional speakers. But, it seems that is not the case either, so now I'm thinking my room is just too small. I have my SDA at the minimum 48" apart, but I can't get the recommended 3 feet from the side wall that the instructions detail. I'm at 2 1/2 feet. However, my listening position is roughly 5-5 1/2 feet from the speakers, but I'm literally backed up against the back wall of the room. All this said, I think I may be smothering the 2Bs with such a small room. Regardless, back to the drawing board. Thanks again for the response.Polk Audio SDA SRS 3.1TL, SDA 2B, Monitor 7C
