After weeks of reserch I have concluded I just have to have the Mitsubishi EVO-X.The 2010 model at the very least(MR)I would prefer a fq-400 but its REAL expensive and I would have to import it over from japan or europe.Ill most likely have to settle for a used model and even those are costly. This car seems to keep its value compared to others. With what little Ill save from buying used I can add the following Accessories---Front Air dams,Front brake air guides,Front strut brace,Rear corner air dams,Rear spoiler extension and rear strut brace.
Okay maybe not all that right away but at least the rear spoiler extension and front and rear strut braces.
Some cool pics.

If your going to import it, I would suggest you buy it from the auctions here and save coin. ASNET would be one of the main auctions here and is where " we " do alot of business. I'll be there end of this month picking up a new Mercedes S550 for myself if I can find a good deal.

Is that a fq400 in that link?
Id certanly be all over that if there going for less than 40 grand. That model has a-lot of the accessories Id like to have already installed. If you see any 360s or 400s could you kindly take note of what they go for.?And is there any program to translate the web pages into english?
I really like that white color too.Nicer than I expected.

Sure bro, no problem at all. I can follow up with you on that. As for translation try installing the Google Toolbar, it should assist you with translations. What is your max budget? Yen rate is pretty bad for the USA $.

Today it's 89 yen =$1.00, so take that car in the link at 3,700,000 / 89 = $41,573 not to include shipping and fees

I can find a 2010, 2009 with low mileage much cheaper.

Im only going to import if I can find an FQ-360 or FQ-400.Ill be looking in a few months after I settle into my new job.Im just trying to find out how much the ones that are not manufactured over here are going for over there.I read on the evo forum that the FQs dropped in price qiute a bit and the last production was 09 but I could be wrong about that.

As an EVO guy Ill be the first to say that that is a nice car.Very cool look too.And the spioler is a much needed addition to that model.:cool:Well a nicer spoiler to be fair.
We can at least agree to disagree as to which is better.I agree that the STIs looked better inside but do not handle or corner as well as the EVO X.At least the 2010 models:biggrin:
At long last the EVO as it is is over. The next model will (XI) be hybrid.

I will say this, when it comes to style Mitsubishi wins hands down over all the other imports in the same price category...and the good news, just as reliable as Honda, Toyota and the like.

I have a 2008 Eclipse GT manual 6-speed and love it. No other import could come close to it's style and performance for the money.

I just bought a 2011 WRX, love me some AWD! And that picture of the "2012 STI" is incorrect, the 2012 WRX and STIs are going to be exactly the same as the 2011 models. Updates will be coming in MY 2013, Subaru is trying to separate the Impreza and WRX/STI lines. And BTW, EVOs don't have the best reputation for reliability or truck space ;)

The EVO vs STI battle will live forever but I think the difference are pretty clear. STI is way better for daily driving as the ride is more compliant and comfortable, as are the seats. In stock form the EVO will win on the track, but with a few necessary mods the STI can keep up. Subie tunes are bad from factory and bigger sway bars really negate the understeer issue.

I don't know about that. When you push a 2 liter that hard it tends to have issues. I had been under the impression that the STI was more reliable but a little less of a performer than the EVO.

Ahhh,I know Blue Course Drive well as it seems you do too.

I will be moving to phillipsburg and it has a-lot of twisting mountain roads and the EVO excells on those roads not to mention it OWNS the snow and that area gets quite a bit of it in the winter.

I was talking in general, off the lot, with no mods to the car. I've had several Mits's and Toyota's, they both have held up perfectly over the years.

What is the number on this car in Japan? Out here the q model is called something different then in the US. Can you get that info so I can send you pricing, then you should be able to tell if importing is a good idea or not. Sort of like Lexus I300 is the Toyota Altezza out here.

    These are 09 listings

Sorry sherardp for the confusion.I just found out that the FQ is just an EVO X modded by the colt company in the UK and will run around 70k so forget that idea as I also found out it is a total PITA to get one over here and get plates for it.I would have to go through a lot of red tape and money to get one.It was suggested to get an EVO X MR and mod it myself.

Why not save the coin on a massive, useless rear spoiler and do some under the hood, sleeper upgrades?
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.
