Monitor 7 Help

Need help with a pair of 7's I bought. One of the speakers has a frozen mid. Bought a MW-6502 The other flexes fine. Hooked them up & neither sounds good. Both have very low volume & sound "distant". Any way to troubleshhoot/repair?

    Just to verify that it is not the source, connect another speaker to your system. If the other speaker sounds the same. then look at your connections and settings. What are you using to drive them? Both speakers should not sound "distant".

    Do the 7s have a fuse in the back for the tweeters? If so, check for burnout or clean them and the connectors.
