Refaced my hall closet door

Over my weekend I refaced the coat closet door in the hallway and built and arch over the entry to the hallway. It's not quite complete yet, still a bit of detail work to do. This is the start of my new project, refacing the entire hallway. All new, big baseboards, door casings, a bit more "castle" style decor with all of this new trim work will getting painted black.

Not sure exactly what I'll do with the bedroom, kitchen and bath door ways yet, it's too much work to arch them so I will try and come up wit something that match the look I'm after.

Nice. How'd you do that door? Is it a full door or did you fake the arch above it?

    I like the gothic look.

The door is a standard rectangle type, the arch above is faked. I took the door off and overlaid the T1-11 with the arch cut into the T1-11. Then, just threw on some decorative hinges, handle and cross beams.

I'm going to do the same to the inside of my front door. The door has a half moon window towards the top. I'm going to cover it all up and cut in a small square where the window is. Then, I will built a sliding 6"x6" peep style hole. Like the ones you see on castle doors. Should be really cool.

Looking great!!! Had a customer once that remodeled his entire basement to look like this. All the doors were carved from real wood. The pool room was the coolest, it was made to look like the inside of an old tavern and wine cellar. Only thing I didn't like was the choice of carpet in the HT room, it didn;t really fit in with the rest of the room. So,are you gonna make the bedroom into the dungeon??

I really love how that closet door turned out so like I said above, I'm going to do my front door and the door (leading into the garage) in this pic as well. It just looks too damn cool.

    Thanks for the comments guys.
