Hello Club Polk!
When I was younger I loved playing Chopin on the piano. I think his music is really amazing. Do any of you have favorite recordings of his music on CD you would recommend?

If I could play Chopin on the piano I wouldn't be bothered with all this audio stuff, I'd just make my own tunes and save a fortune on gear.
Ivan Moravec is my own favorite performer of Chopin.

T2, there's an outstanding bargain available in a 2-disc set which offers selections from many different Chopin genres of piano pieces in fine performances and sound. There's probably no better introduction available for new collectors of his music than this set available from Amazon sellers for the extraordinarily low price of around $4 up.

Although ancient at this point. Anything by Dinu Lupatti who died at age 33 is just magical. Unfortunately the recordings are 'old' as he passed away in 1950?
It also goes without saying that we are all 'envious' that you can actually play some of this! Congratulations, music is something that has kept many of the greats long lived and sane!
