Polk SDA-2B (TL) or trade for Mac

Up for sale for the second time (decided to keep them after the first ad) are my Polk SDA-2B's. These would have be stored in a closet for who knows how long when they should be out and being enjoyed. I also decided to go back to school (better late than never) and will need a Macbook Pro so I'm open to trades.
These have been upgraded/restored and have been TL'ed. I used Sonicaps, Mills resistors, and Axon caps.
$400 for local pickup in Southern California. Can deliver for an additional charge. Mo' betta' pictures coming soon.
This was copied and pasted from one of my threads awhile ago and lists modifications and parts used:

This was copied and pasted from one of my threads awhile ago and lists modifications and parts used:
Parts Used:
(Two) 5.8uF Sonicap Gen I 200VDC (Matched Pair. Specifically ordered for the TL Mod which is a modification that allows the use of the better RD0-198 tweeter) $14 each
(Two) 12.uF Sonicap Gen I 200VDC (Matched Pair) $20.45 each
(Two) Mills MRA-12 0.5 ohm resistors $4.15 each
(Two) Mills MRA-12 2.7 ohms $4.15 each
(Six) 20uF Axon True Capacitor 250V 5% $4.31
(Two) RD0-198 Tweeters $100
25 ft. of Cardas Quad-Eutectic solder which was a whopping $6.
Dynamat Extreme Speaker Kit $19.99 from Best Buy. This includes two sheets and was more than enough to cover both passive radiators and all four mid-drivers.
JB Weld was about $6 - This is a paste that bonds and acts like a weld. Super strong stuff. The purpose of this was to prevent the magnet of the mid-drivers from moving thus causing a dead speaker.

Mods, please take out the trash. These guys always do this to my for sale ads, it's unacceptable. Even if I had a problem with any of you, I'd have the decency not to do this to one of your ads. I have 3 successful transactions on this forum, I'm serious when it comes to selling and buying.

Going back to school? How old are you?
In this economy I wish 'anyone' who is doing that luck. But I also 'pity' them because there just are not any 'jobs' out there, or not many, regardless of what your major might be.
The idea that 'education' and retooling make a difference in America is, well, somewhat of a fantasy these days!
But here's hoping for the best. I teach the college crowd at one of the top 25 small colleges in the U.S. and I can tell you that many of our best grads are not going to be working this fall!

I'm 25. I want to pursue a career in videography/cinematography/motion graphics, which is something I already do part-time but I want to step it up and get a better foundation. I'm completely self-taught which has it's pros and cons, but right now the cons are breaking a lot of opportunities for me. I had an internship opportunity at a huge design agency in San Diego for their broadcast department, but they legally couldn't take me on because I'm not a student. So I'm pretty much going to use school to open up doors and not necessarily stress about a degree if that makes sense. I had a buddy go to school to do a portfolio program and the doors it opened where huge for him. -
Not bad! But, as you know, there is a lot of competition in that field. My best friend since Junior High is an Indie Filmmaker who has probably written 20 feature length scripts and directed a few contest winning films as a grad student. He is just getting by these days on commercials and local documentary work and has been trying to sell one of his many (fine quality) scripts for an Independent film for two or three decades?
If you have an 'in' that's good. Because if you don't, there's no money in that business for the vast majority--seen it first hand!
Good Luck!

Thanks for the insight! I really appreciate it especially coming from a professor. I definitely want to see if I have what I takes to make a career out of it and support/build a family. I have a daughter and absolutely love being a dad, so we want more. I'm hoping school will show me where I fit in to the field, because right now I'm the jack of all trades and master of none when it comes to video/film. -

With all the work and money you have into them, wouldn't it be better to keep them and enjoy them whenever you get the chance? If you do sell them, some night in the not too distant future you'll wake up in a cold sweat thinking "Damn, why did I sell those speakers?! WHY?!"
Just saying, that's what I'd do...
GLWTS! -
