HDMI connections

Hi All,

I recently upgraded my system components and switched the cables to HDMI connections. I've done a fair bit of research on HDMI cables reading through various forum threads, cnet, BJC, Monoprice, etc.

This is what I have set up
Sony Blue Ray - BDP-S380: Connected to Onkyo w/6ft HDMI 1.3A
Comcast DVR - DCX3400m: Connected to Onkyo w/6ft HDMI 1.3b

Onkyo AV receiver - TX-NR609: Connected to Sony w/10ft HDMI 1.3
Sony LCD TV - KDL-46V4100

The set up seems to work fine now that I have the settings correct in the receiver. Pass thru works fine, Pic looks good from BD and DVR.

Anyone see any issues with having 3 different cable versions based on my equipment. I have considered getting 3 6footers from BJC at some point to get a little future proofing in, but as of now this seems fine considering the cables were free from comcast

Any input appreciated

Thanks
Shawn

LOL no I think you're fine using 3 different manufacturer cables. But then again like your BJC HDMI cable idea of using them, I too use those cables.

I like reading through the posts and learning what I can from it as well as posting now and then. I used to have more time to look around on the net for info and found this to be a great forum with good info and people with similar equipment.

life gets busy so, not much time for reading the forums past few years. I am left to efficiently looking for information on an as needed basis. On vacation this week so i am getting in some perusing time an figuring out how to setup my newly renovated system
