Anyone have any thoughts on manufacturer refurbished electronics and these Integra 80.2 in particular?

I bought my Onkyo 807 as a manufacturer refurbished unit about a year ago and it has worked flawlessly and has no cosmetic flaws that I could find. I did buy it directly from Onkyo though and not through a third party so I guess that could increase risk, especially if its not an authorized reseller... it might not carry the warranty.

Integra and Onkyo are the same company and they seem to be pretty reliable and well built products.

Umm.... I'd be leery of that..

First off says "NIB" in the title, then states it's a referb. Is not an "authorized" reseller so good luck with with warranty claims. On his side he does have 100% feedback...

Likely be better off going through Accessories4less or Onkyo directly.

I have had a few onkyo units and all worked great lately I bought a bare bones onkyo avr TXSR303 AVR for the bedroom , in my opinion bare bones (companys low end) means you get a box of all the junk unlike the good line .
    BUT...
The AVR sounds REALLY good , and works great .
Sure its only got a few inputs , but it has lots of features within its menu .
And for onkyo to put so much care into a low cost AVR tells me the upper end stuff is REALLY nice .
But in all equipment refurb is worrysome , unless he claims all factory warrenties appley , it would be a good idea and write onkyo to ask them if you buy from that ebay company will the warrenty be covered .

    I concur.

I've owned three Onkyo AVRs. Two bought new from legitimate re-sellers and a third from Onkyo direct--a refurb with a one year warranty that is going strong three or more years later!

The only legitimate Onkyo refurb dealers I know of are Onkyo themselves, and accessories4less.com (mentioned above). So I would check directly with Onkyo to see if this product is 'recertified' under 'their' warranty!
