Monitor 7

Need help from the Brain Trust- bought a pair of used Monitor 7's. Looked great but had a bad MW-6502 on one of them. Bought a new one & hooked them up. Not good, sounds like volume is on .5 (when at 7) & I'm 5 blocks away. Am I screwed? My newer home theater is all Polk so I was waxing nostalgic & wanted to invest in some Vintage. I'm pretty good with electronics so before I toss them in the garbage can I'd like to bring them back to life, if possible. Need wiring diagram & opinion if they are worth saving. Thanks!

Is that with both speakers or just the one that had the bad driver?Political Correctness'.........defined

Sorry for the huge delay! One of the mids had a warped cone & wouldn't flex. Neither would the bass. The other speaker flexed fine. I ordered a new MW-6502. In the meantime I hooked the speakers up to my buddy's receiver (used the sames speaker wires his speakers were connected to that sounded great). Both speakers sounded very quiet & distant. Any ideas on how to troublshhot/repair?

I'm thinking both tweeters are not working. Do you see a fuse on the binding post plate?Political Correctness'.........defined

I feel so stupid! I looked at the fuses a week or so ago & they looked good. I bought new ones just to be safe & that was it!! However, I do have a bad tweeter. Are they still available & how do I get the model #? Nothing is on it. Both clips are identical. Lastly, is there a big difference between an MW-6500 & a 6502? I bought a '02 to replace a warped '00. It sounds fine, though.
Thanks a ton!!

What do the current tweeters look like....a pic would help. Your speakers should have SL2000's in them, but they came with a label on the back, so you may have the RD0194-1 replacements already.Lastly, is there a big difference between an MW-6500 & a 6502?
Yes, you need to get the proper driver.Political Correctness'.........defined
