If anyone is having trouble with Surround Sound DVD Playback on SoundBlaster Live. Go into properties in WinDVD and enable Headphone support. It took me about 20 minutes to figure this one out, but once I did everything worked alright.

The Sound Blaster Live only lets you downmix Dolby Digital to Pro-Logic. I believe you have to get the optical I/O daughter card to output the Dolby Digital stream. If you're serious about watching DVD's on your computer, get the RealMagic Hollywood Plus DVD decoder card for around $60. It has excellent hardware MPEG decoding that will look better than any software player (i.e. WinDVD) and the card can output the Dolby Digital or DTS digital stream.
