Got some kappa 5s from jerryj12 yesterday, will be contacting rick cobb, recommended by fellow polkies, bought one set of refoam supplys, and he worked with me to make sure he got me right parts.

but i do have a question about redoing dust caps.

have removed one dust cap, was wondering how far i should go shaving down the ridge from old dust cap left on cone?

Will new dust cap be larger, and glue on higher on cone than old cap, thereby avoiding rige from the old cap glue line? or do i need to worry about new cap
gluing on in the same area, and how the hell would i shave this ridge down enough to allow new cap to lay flat, without damaging underlying cone?

Any help is appreciated.
