Whats everyone using these days ? What brands are floating your SQ boat ? Aside from Polk, who makes some darn good ones, I heard some KLH's the other day that were pretty darn good. Saw some def tech's at BB that sounded good. Been looking for some for the deck, but as like many of you, coin is in short supply. After reading some online reviews, some dude suggested these......

For 90 bucks, I gave them a whirl. Installed last night, hooked them up to the sonos, and I'm pretty impressed with these things. We will have to see how long they last in the elements of a chicago winter though. They also have good prices on outside speaker wire if any of you guys are interested. Bought a 100 ft of direct bury 14 ga, with higher strand count to hook them up. My deck is fairly large, about 12 feet by 30 feet, and elevated 12 feet, and these 2 speaks fill it up very well. Now I just bring my sonos controller out there, and away we go. Anyone who's married knows it's all about making her happy. So what are you guys using outside ?

I have had the same pair of Infinity Outriggers for over 10 years now.
They made it through the lovely Illinois weather when we lived up there, although I believe I used to bring them in for the winters and tape or cap the wire ends..if the copper wire corroded I left enough extra to just cut off the bad part. Also, the Outriggers were very easily to remove off the mounts and re-connect.

I have these hooked up year round in GA. for almost 6 years now and they work fine.

Here's a pair...I got lucky and bought mine as floor models, although this price seems reasonable:

I'm running Polk Atrium 45's on the lower deck. They sound great & fill the area nicely. For the top pool deck I bring out the Sonos S5 speaker & it is remarkable for it's size. Sounds awesome & fills the area including the pool nicely. Due to the size of the two tier decks (800sq ft >) I need the extra S5 speaker. I can even play different music up there & it doesn't interfere with the Atrium's on the lower deck. Or I'll marry the two zones together & fill both decks with remarkable sound.

I really haven't listened to other outdoor spaeakers because I'm very happy with the current setup. As you well know now Tony...Sonos rocks!!!!

I have 2 pairs of these, each in a different outdoor zone:

They sound quite nice. Each has its own AudioSource AMP-100 and Squeezebox receiver.
