Ok, Here is the deal. I bought a new pair of Rti 4's.
Right now I'm powering them through a Cheesy Kenwood that a friend loaned me. I'm going to buy an "Entry Level" Receiver.

I'm shopping for used and refurbished unit's.

Living room is very small, Trailer.

Looking at 30 WPC H-K with HDMI, Refurbs from Onkyo and entry level Denons.

The refurbs from Onkyo have a lot more power, 60 to 80 WPC
The Denon has a lot more power, 75 WPC.

Do you trust refurbs?

Who would have the best sound quality for the RTI's?

All boast discreet amps and high current.

Which ones would you be looking hardest at?

I want to make a good choice.

For 2 ch usage, all those power ratings should be accurate. For 5.1, the HK is probably accurate in its ratings. The Onkyo / Denon power ratings would probably be closer to the HKs driving 5 speakers. I would just go with the one w/ the features you want. SQ should be comparable for all of them.

Where are you located? If you have a Fry's near you they have the HK AVR1600 for $250 on sale this week.

    What's your budget?

I always found the Rti series to sound a tad bright to my ears- for music. So, for me it was helpful to pair the speakers with a warm sounding amp. With that being said, I used an HK 635 with my Rti10's.

How about a nice Harman Kardon AVR 254...?:wink:

Seriously, I tried my RTi4s with these in 2-channel, and was very pleased (and surprised) by the result.
