Ryko Au20 gold remaster of Mickey Hart Planet Drum. Incredible.
Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.

The Hunt is a total jam, and Temple Caves is probably the deepest bass I've ever heard my 1C's put put out.

Already have it. Definitely rocks. This recording through my Eddie Current headphone amp with my LCD-2's is just ridiculous. Better sound quality than Planet Drum but Mickey Hart is the master.

Ok, you got me curious. Not my cup of tea, but I found the music enjoyable. And wow...that is some sustained bass!

Better than the SDA moment I had earlier in the week. Due to some cleaning my speaker was in front of my CD player shelf. I put in Sugar Hill Gang Rapper's Delight...set a reasonable volume and walked out of the room. The sound started cutting out and I was like CRAP. Fortunately it was just the CD skipping when the bass was hitting. I had listened to other music louder...just this track caused me to panic for just a few moments...

Get an isolation pad for your player!

Ever tried the scores from Halo 2 or 3 on SDAs? The genre isn't everyone's cup o' tea, but it's pretty immersing and powerful, not to mention there's some deep, deep bass here and there.

Yeah there are some great Dead recordings available now. I don't miss the days of trading tapes like years ago!

A few years ago I gave away all of my Dead tapes (about 700). I was in the parking lot at Merriweather Post for a Phil and friends show and I put out boxes of tapes with a Free tapes sign. I had so much fun giving them away. People would come up and take one or two, sometimes a few more. Finally after an hour or so this guy looks at me and says can I have all of them (about 300 left). I said YES!!

Anyway I don't listen to the Dead nearly as much as I did back in the day, however I have had some sublime listening moments with Jerry and the SDA's!!
