Need New Jersey people to look...

Just need to know if anyone who lives is Jersey has an opinion about this auto parts place.

I am looking to have a hatchback shipped from them to me in IL, and I want to make sure they are reputable, etc.

Anyone that might be familiar please chime in.

    Seriously, ask the vwvortex weenies. There are a bunch of them up north and they'll know if that place is on the up and up or batpoo insane.

    Yeah, I should hit the Vortex, but I don't know the peeps over there like I do here. But atleast I should get some kind of feedback. I'm putting it on a CC so I have recourse that way. I just like to do a little due diligence before I send someone some money over the internet.

    Just the hatch? I'd ask for photos before you go through the process of shipping, a lot of parts yards are doing this. I'm sure you've asked if its damaged or not, I tried looking at the website, but not a whole lot of info there about them, I was looking for environmental certifications, and parts networks they may be a part of, in my experience, if a yard is willing to go through the processes of both, they usually carry a little better product, not all the time, but just something to look at.

    I have photo's on the way. He claims it's a clean (rust free), straight hatch. Mine is rusty and I need to replace it, preferably with a completely rust free piece. I'm not for sure, but I think he found me through a parts network I signed up for.

    My brother in-law works on VW's and I help him sometimes. I will be honest I have never heard of these guys, I have a text in to my bro to see if he does.

    Paterson isn't the most honest section of NJ if that helps.

    OK, so my Brother in-law informed me that he is indeed good friends with the owner and says they are real good guys and easy to deal with. My brother in-law runs a business called Oldskool Industries in Harmony NJ so I am not trying to pull the wool over your eyes.

    PS, I would trust him on this, he has never steered me wrong on VW stuff.

    That's very cool, Joe. I appreciate it. They have been very responsive by email so far. I get a complete rear hatch (window, spoiler, wiper, hardware, etc) shipped to IL for $350, not too bad since the shipping alone is probably $100+

    That's sounds like a good price for a clean piece. I am sure the shipping is the big hit on that, with the packaging and all.

    Ramon? I am not sure if that is the owner or not but the name sounds familiar now that I read it. I met him at a VW show in MD or CT a couple years ago. The shows are close together timewise. If it is the same guy he was cool.
