    Mike,

Looks nice but the pic size is very small. Can't see everything very well.

Can you move the SDA's out and make them flush with the TV stand? I wonder if the TV stand is interfering with the lower drivers.

there's nothing blocking them side to side...i have them away from the stand by about 2 inches and off the wall by 8..

i see what you mean...it looks like the lower part of the stand is out further than the sda's..it aint:)...i'll get a better pic tonight

    thanks

    First nice setup,

Second, there is no way those SDA's are flush with the front of that stand.

you guys were right! i came home to look and it looked like my speakers were buried! i think i originally used the tv as my border...i moved them to the absolute edge of the stand. they're now abt 18" from the wall...imaging like a ****, too:)...WAF won't like what they look like..it's easy enough to move sda2's out a foot..they're not the big ones;)..

i'm glad i showed my pic!

    thanks!

It's probably a little bit of getting them away from the sides of the TV stand and mostly being away from the back wall that is giving you better imaging.

It looks like they are spaced too close together compared to the listening position. If you had space and the wife allows, you could also try moving them a little bit further apart. Perhaps just 6" in each direction for a 12" increase.

What's that stuff to the right of the subwoofer? It's not an acoustic issue but it does look a little cluttered. I also hate your rug.

Besides that it looks like you have a great system. A better pic would be great.

You just got a quick lesson on why the "room" is the most important componet in your system. Congrats on your new & improved sound. Play around some more with placement & I'll bet you'll even be more surprised with the results.

thanks max:cool: actually i sit closer than the pic eludes..the triangle is in effect..i have tried it a little further apart..i was losing the center of the soundstage....but i will experiment with the way the spkrs are now, for sure..
the rug? looks better in person..it's real well-made - feels good...my wife hates it too:tongue:

Phil is right...but you can 'drive' yourself crazy with placement too. I know, I spent 3 months moving a Polk sub to various positions in the room then decided that that spot wasn't optimal, so on to another and another and another. I finally had to stop because it was bordering on OCD? lol

Sanity? Is there really ANY such thing in the Audio World?

Another thought... does the stuff on the subwoofer rattle when listening at high volumes? My sub isn't that powerful but I had that problem. Generally putting stuff on speakers isn't a good thing, especially when the speakers have a nice finish. Admittedly I have some stuff on my cheaper stuff.

no rattles..i only have headphones on there..pretty light...i should point out: the cluttered look..i was cleaning the rug..so that corner usually has a couch about 5 feet out...so most of the clutter is obscured from normal view...
