Was killed this morning in a car accident on Rt 322 in West Goshen Township in PA. Said they were doing 100+ in a black Porsche.

Dunno if anyone was a fan or anything but locally, he was a pretty popular guy locally, especially local radio.

Still looking for official confirmation.

That sucks but flying that fast on regular roads has consequences. Feel bad for his family and friends.

From what I have seen he was doing over 100 on rt 322.

    Found this on TMZ. http://www.tmz.com/2011/06/20/jackass-ryan-dunn-dies-dead-car-crash-accident-pennsylvania/

That's crazy, he died like 15 minutes from my house. I drive that road to ice hockey in West Chester each week. I know they are doing a lot of construction out that way. I wonder if that had anything to do with the accident, other than doing 100 mph obviously.

holy crap. That sucks...but I always knew it was a matter of time before one of those guys ended up dying. I figured it be Steve-o first though.

Him and Bam grew up together. They used to film their stupid stunts as kids and those tapes were what gave Knoxville the idea for the "Jackass" show.

I used to see Dunn all the time at Iron Hill Brewery in West Chester and the few times I saw Bam up at the ski/skate shop my sister worked at, Dunn was always with him.

Yeah, it was a stupid way to go but he was honestly a real nice, down-to-earth guy. The world is a little less bright without him.

I have driven way too fast in my youth, so not being a hypocrite, and i sincerely feel for his family and friends.

But,if anyone CHOOSES to drive that way, especially these days with all the video evidence right in front of you from surveillance cams, cell phones cop car cams etc. of what can happen.

Well, IF something has to happen, and things will, at least it was not some poor shlub, driving sanely to work, or a mom with kids in the back, at least it was the person who made the choice himself.

And, It sounds like he was a decent enough, regular type of guy, so he probably, given the choice, would have chosen that he dies instead of causing an accident where someone else dies because of his choices.

By the by, I have not driven like a teenager since i was a teenager, but hitting a metal culvert at app. 40 miles an hour about 5 years ago, spending 3 days in intensive care, and still suffering memory probs, trust me, i drive like your granny now.

Bam and friends somehow appealed to my whole family over the past 4-5 years with our ages ranging from 12 to 54, and Dunn was always one of our favorites. He died the way he lived and I don't know all of the details, but hope he didn't take out anyone else. That TMZ article make it look like he was getting totally hammered before driving.

Not sure if your little"Nevermind"post was in reaction to me saying if someone drives that way and someone dies, i would rather it be the one who decides to drive that way, but, reports now say a photo taken hours before crash, was of him and friends getting "Hammered" in their words, and has now been taken off the net, if that is accurate, then i really dont care about dunn, just thank god no innocent people were hurt.

Also, as far as the post by someone who says people as young as 12 in his family were adam dunn fans, I remember his first famous stunt was to insert a cellphone into his ****, have his friends take him to er, and say he had pain after passing out at frat party.

    12 year old stuff, dunno.

While reckless, who hasn't done it but if it was DUI, then he chose his direction and so did his friends that night. Let's hope it was simply a mistake and not an embarrasing, unnecessary black mark on his life and career.

To drink and drive is not just choosing your direction, other people are using the road too.

Funny how getting older changes the way you look at stuff.

Cant count how many times i coulda caused something awful from drinkin and drivin, but could not expect any sympathy if i hurt innocents.

BTW, reports say someone in car was also killed, car was in 3 pieces, and dunns body was id,d by tatoos.

Not that I need to defend, but the TV version of the show is pretty tame. However, my son (the youngest of my 4 children) was "12 going on 21" when he was actually 12. Today he is 17 going on 30.

I don't know if you have kids, but I'll put any one of mine up against any one of yours on based upon academic intelligence, common sense/street smarts, work ethic, good looks, athletic ability, zip code, etc. so bite me!

If i had kids, i wouldnt dare pretend to pit mine against yours when it comes to know how of how to shove toys up their, seriously, dont know that much about the different variations on the jackass genre, never cared for bam and his bunch slapping his dad, tearing his moms home up, walking around with his little general attitude, with all his little buddys who only worship him because they are getting paid, but as far as experts on which mtv shows are more appropriate for 12 yr olds, not an expert, seriously, and young people are way diff. from when i was young, but i have seen enough of the jackass crew(admittedly sometimes hilarious, but also many times homoerotic, scatological, and often completely dismissive about life and safety.

but todays 12 yr olds are tomorrows democrats.

Just heard on tmz tv, and yes , i swear it was before i could get to the remote and change the channel to anything else, but bam is cussing mad because roger ebert texted, 'Friends dont let jackasses drive drunk", or something like that.

What a little hypocrite ****, his drunk driving(apparently) buddy, who has helped him pull off some of the rudest, most disrespectful, yes sometimes hilarious crap on others, many times strangers, expects no one should express themselves when their lifestyles come back to bite them on their little stupid ****.

Love it, and have you ever seen the way bams so called parents are led around by the nose, I know, I know its a mtv show and they are making a lot of money, but i dont think their pitiful impersonations of parents are too far from the truth.

"roger ebert should shut his big fat mouth."

    HE CANT, YOU IDIOT.

He had bone cancer and had his jaw removed, now wears turtlenecks, and they barely make him look like the scream mask, as well as keeping him from closing his mouth.

    So there.

While I don't condone what Ryan did, I also don't go around acting high and mighty when others feel saddened by the loss of someone.

Yes, it seems to be a DUI and that is unforgivable in my eyes. But seriously get off your pedestal for a moment Scotty. Or have you never done anything reckless in your whole life. Seriously you sound like a complete jerk about the whole thing. You aren't perfect just like all of us are not perfect.

The guys from Jackass were living it up because that is what we wanted of them. They fell prey to there lifestyle and that is a shame for Ryan and Zach.
