Classic Silver Era Receiver. One of the 'monster receivers' that made Pioneer famous. Local sale/pickup or handoff only in the San Antonio, TX area due to size/weight. This is in very good condition although it could use a good dusting. I received this recently in a trade but really don't have the room for it although it is a gorgeous piece of audio history. Priced to sell at $265. Email if interested.

In 1977 I was stationed on Okinawa. My first audio purchase was a Pio 1050. Sweet receiver with plenty of power. GLWTS.

Great price if all works. Just out of curiosity where are the missing jumpers for the pre out main in's?
REGARDS SNOWWell, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all -
Yeah, I got the jumpers. Thinking of investing in this longterm by taking it to this guy for a 'like new' restoration:

It works fine but I'm sure there are some old parts that should be replaced by now, or at least cleaned up. -

Paul will treat you right and only uses top notch parts in his restores and he is fairly close to you in Oklahoma.

The Pioneer SX-1050 was my first 'real' receiver. When I got stationed in Germany in 1976 this was my first purchase. Got it at the base Audio/Video store for a measly $330. It was going for $700 stateside. That was a buttload of money back then.2 channel - Willsenton R8 tube integrated, Holo Audio Spring 3 KTE DAC, audio optimized NUC7i5, Windows 10 Pro/JRiver MC29/Fidelizer Plus 8.7 w/LPS and external SSD drive, PS Audio PerfectWave P3 regenerator, KEF R3 speakers, Rythmik F12SE subwoofer, Audioquest Diamond USB cable, Gabriel Gold IC's, Morrow Audio SP5 speaker cables. Computer - Windows 10/JRiver, Schiit Magni 3+/Modi 3+, Fostex PMO.4n monitors, Sennheiser HD600 headphones

heh, got one of those (restored) in the attic - only serious Pioneer receiver in the... umm... collection.
EDIT: aww, fug... that blurb is for the SX-850 :-P I have "page 62" scanned... someplace... -
I would love to have it, it looks like a beauty!
Any chance I could talk you into shipping it
To Mi.? -
At this time I'd prefer not to ship. I don't have a box for it and prefer not to ship something this size/weight due to possible shipping damage.
