Phase Linear 400 w/ SDA-2's?

So I have a chance to pickup a Phase Linear 400 (not sure what series yet) for about $100 tomorrow - I know the output section has been recently rebuilt and it is still in its original box.
Does anyone know if this is a good match for my SDA-2's or Dahlquist DQ-10's? Is the PL 400 even a common ground amp?
I'm looking to get something with more power than my current collection of integrated amps - see my signature. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

Yes I was and if you don't plan on running it at high volume then you shouldn't have too much of a heat issue.
I liked it enough to buy a spare and now you have me wanting to put that combination back together.polkaudio SRS (rdo194 x 8)

Wow - I will definitely check out White Oak Audio Design if I end up getting the PL 400 tomorrow. Is $100 a descent price if the amp is full functional? I've also heard of these amps failing and taking speakers with them - has anyone added protection circuitry to these amps? relays, fuses, etc?

+ 1 on adding the spkr protection circuit upgrade. I would also have new output devices installed at the same time of this upgrade is done I have owned 3 of these amps in the past and the output devices have failed on each one and it wasnt pretty. Things went south very very quickly. Destroyed both speakers each time. Inline fuses will protect your spkrs from ac over current( to much volume), when a Phase Linier goes south it discharges DC into your spkrs , the fuse will just sit there and ride it out. This upgrage will be worth the cost of installation if you buy it.. The amps sound great, need to keep it cool, upgrade it and you will have a good amp. Good luckAmps- Nakamichi PA 7 & PA 5.
