Great for Texas...especially Dallas...Dirk through age and ailments along with J.Terry on off the bench guard wo has had some pinnacle moments in the championship run

But good for Lebron James who was shadowed with controversy whether he was the man or not....obviously he is

Way to go Dallas! After they kicked the crap out of my Lakers I was hoping they would kick the crap out of Miami.

Well done! ...and congrats to Mark Cuban.

And all is right with the world.
Here's to one... no, two.. three.... four... five.... six future runner-up's to your Miami Heat and all their South Beach "talent".

Desire is always greater than talent. Koudos to MCuban for allowing Don Carter to touch the trophy first. Now, only if Dick Motta could have been there....

I couldn't agree more. Its hard not to like Cuban, especially when he shows this kind of class. Not to mention the fact that he played down attention toward himself and wanted to focus on the team.

I wish he would have bought the Lakers!

It was awesome to see our team finally pull it off. The loss in 2006 was tough to watch, this series made up for it though given the team they beat and how they did it.

As long as that arrogant a-hole James lost is all that mattered to me.

Amazing the NBA season has ended before the NHL season...

Lute Olson was courting Jason hard for the U of A's point guard machine back in the day, wish we would have been successful, he was/is just an awesome athlete ! He did wind up playing with the Suns, so I was happy then

I normally don't mind someone who's got an over-abundance of self confidence. I was a Jordan fan back in the day and have always rooted for Tiger, I like to see great people do great things.

With LeBron it's different and I can't put my finger on it. There's just something about him that's different and I really can't stand the guy. I'm not a big Koby Bryant fan, but I'll root for him before I do Lebron.

I've always had some respect for Wade, even when he destroyed the Mavs in 2006. He seems like a decent enough guy and not overly cocky. But ever since 'the decision' and then the big welcoming party celebration thing and now up through the playoffs and he and LeBron mocking Dirk I can't stand him any longer either, I think LeBron is rubbing off on him.

I think it's simple. The guy is quite possibly the most talented basketball player of all time and refuses year in, year out to rise to the occasion. If I had one/tenth of 1% percent of that man's talent (and a small, insigificant portion of his salary to go with it), you better believe I would play a GAME balls out to keep it going.

That being said... Lebron stood 25 feet behind the perimeter when it mattered most and couldn't get rid of the ball fast enough when it found it's way into his hands. And don't give me any garbage about "facilitating his teammates". He was often throwing into triple-coverage just so he wouldn't have to make a play. Weak.

I actually like D-Wade and think he plays like a champion. Too bad he asked for help and got LeQueen and Rupaul instead.

Yeah..that was 'smart', not! I know a lot about so-called 'talent'. Been around the best in my field, most of my life--competed with the 'best'. But 'who' decides who is the 'best', what are the criteria? I wonder if LeBron is any better than any half dozen other stars?

I know the 'hype' is there. But as someone says above, being the best doesn't mean 'anything' unless you work for it, believe in it, and put everything out there for it. Being the 'best' in your 'head' isn't the same as performing out here. And one thing the best does, and this is something we saw with Jordan (personally, I never liked Mike but respected him on the court) is come through when titles are on the line, when its all or nothing. Enough said. Maybe Lebron still has some growing up to do...maybe that early entry into the NBA was the absolute 'worst' thing for his ego...maybe...add your own flourish here......

Next year? The one after that maybe? Ask Mike!

    You are ABSOLUTELY CORRECT !!!!!!!!!!!!

I am sooooooooooooooooooooooo damn happy there was no ring for the so called king!

Statistically it will be tough for the Heat to stay healthy and return next year, and it will make my decade if LeBron stays ringless.

I was as happy to see Nowitzki get his ring, as I was to see Lebron not get one.

I might not have been in the right place at the right time, but since the end of game 6 and Miami's demise, I have not seen, heard or read a single sentiment that anyone wanted LeBron to have ring. And that's just the way I like it!
