I really dont think this was ready. After the autoupdates installed it I had problems from day one.The browser would lock up often for 10 to 30 seconds and not only that several games I had installed wouldnt run anymore. This went on for 3 weeks so finally I just backed up some files to another drive and popped in the win 7 disc and started over. Now everything is working fine including the games.
So has anyone else had any problems with IE9??

Speaking of Google's Chrome browser, does anyone know if they are storing your entire web usage in the same manner they are storing your web searches ??
Storing searches made on their google.com search engine is one thing, but if they are storing every single thing you type in and click, that's another.VTL ST50 w/mods / RCA6L6GC / TlfnknECC801S

I downloaded Chrome last night, using it now. I really am not seeing anything special about it. Doesn't seem to be any faster than Opera or Firefox to me.--Gary--

:mad:I can tell you for sure that the POS wasn't ready for release. I ended up downloading Firefox to use as my browser. There are massive complaints all over the web about the failure of IE9!:mad:I really dont think this was ready.

IE9 is working fine for me. I switch back and forth between the main 4 just for a change of scenery but IE9 works faster and smoother for me. Maybe because I only have a midrange internet connection (6MB DSL) so I notice any little speed boost but I like IE9. My only **** about it was no spell check but I found and installed Speckie and now all is well.
Chrome is great but it always scares me with all the tracking and rumors and tin foil hat talk all over the net.
Firefox is equally great and I use it as much as IE9.
Opera Mobile is the best mobile browser in the world so I use the desktop version every once in a while. Its very cool cause its extremely customizable but it has too many compatibility issues with too many sites for me to use it for long.polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005
