And can anyone tell me what the second set of posts are on the back of the speaker? I am a new and growing collector of equip, so i am still unfim with alot of it. Thanks for the help!!

For buildng your first system, and likely running the speakers just off of a receiver, the m50 is the perfect speaker for that! They r easy to power and sound good, and if your living room isnt very big you dont need anything bigger anyway. If u add a nice sub to this system, you should be able to rock the house w these speakers, my buddy does it all the timeLiving Room 7.1 HT Rig:

One set of binding posts should be for the tweeter and the other set of posts should be for the lower frequency drivers. They are designed this way for people who choose to bi-amp or bi-wire their speakers.
Some prefer to use speaker wire in place of the brass jumpers that normally connect the high and low frequency circuits. It's a cheap/free tweak to test, if you wish. -
There should be a brass jumper inbetween the top and bottom posts, you can connect speaker wire to either set as long as the jumper is in place. If not, make your own with extra speaker wire you may have.HT SYSTEM-

That reminds me, I have seen threads where people say that apparently replacing the brass jumper with speaker wire is suppose to make the speaker sound a little better. I haven't tried this myself, i forgot about this "mod", I will have to give it a shot.Living Room 7.1 HT Rig:

I wouldn't call it a mod, more so a tweek. Anyway, some may hear a difference, some not. Regardless, when buying used speakers, these brass jumpers sometimes get lost over the years so replacing them with good speaker wire is just an option.HT SYSTEM-
