SDA 2B Blade/Blade Interconnect Help

Hi Polkies,

I've finally got my hands on a pair of SDA speakers! The 20 year wait is over and I can now retire my Monitor 7s that have served me well. That said, I just purchased a set of SDA 2Bs with the Blade/Blade interconnect. Unfortunately, it didn't come with the interconnect cable, so I plan on making one myself. However, I've been searching the forums, but there seems to be some differing opinions regarding the construction of these cables. What I really need to know is: Does large blade go to large blade, and small blade to small blade? Or, is it the other way around? Thanks for any help/advice. I'm not the most technically savvy person, so I want to get this right before diving in.

Can't wait to hear these beauties sing!

I've been wondering the answer to this as well, and suddenly realized I could check. On my original blade-blade IC cable, both the 200kOhm and 2000kOhm ranges showed zero resistance from big-to-big and small-to-small on my cheap analog multimeter (and some useless reading that apparently equals infinity on the big-small combos).

So yes, large blade to large blade unless I've really messed up something in my measurement...and if you want to fab your own, it appears the current equivalent for the ends can be found at http://www.alliedelec.com/Search/productdetail.aspx?SKU=7500201
    Current polk speakers:
    Family room 5.1: TC265i R/L, VM10 Center, RC65i surrounds (couldn't match the TCs)
Basement non-dedicated 7.1 HT: SDA-CRS+ R/L, 255c-LS Center, LSiFX surrounds, RC80i in-ceiling rear surround, plus Wharfedale 12" sub (some day I'll get around to building 15" F-20 sub).
