Which would you buy?

Current budget for new audio gear: 0$ :frown:

1. Original stands for existing SDA-CRS+ from CP member: $150+ S/H
I've had these speakers without stands for over 20 years...not a real need.

2. Pristine Carver TFM-45 amp from CP member: $450 shipped
[[I haven't used separate components since I dedicated my two-channel Adcom gear to whole-house usage 8 years ago...and nothing I own that does 5.1/7.1 has pre-outs...not exactly a crisis even though I hope to get from AVR back to separates within the next two years.]]

3. Polk LSiC from CL in my zip code: $200 picked up
I've got an LSi-255C in-wall already installed above where the screen will be, so this would be for a second center below the screen...

4. Save money for now and buy none of the above, since even the best of these deals don't really match a need well enough if the budget is zero (recent purchases put me "in the red".)
Current polk speakers:
Family room 5.1: TC265i R/L, VM10 Center, RC65i surrounds (couldn't match the TCs)
Basement non-dedicated 7.1 HT: SDA-CRS+ R/L, 255c-LS Center, LSiFX surrounds, RC80i in-ceiling rear surround, plus Wharfedale 12" sub (some day I'll get around to building 15" F-20 sub).

Since your budget is $0, 4 is the only choice. Though you could build your own stands to original specs.

The best deal is the LSiC for $200. I don't pass up great deals, even if it hurts me in the short term. Guess you'll regret either choice so good luck.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

My budget *should* be zero if I were a rule-follower...which I'm not always so good at being.

None of these items are completely out of the question, but if I get any of them "there can be only one!"

I'm leaning towards the LSiC as I agree it's the best deal, assuming it's in NM condition as claimed and the seller doesn't go wonky.

Since I helped contribute to this zero dollar budget lately, I feel like I shoud say something. I also think the best deal out of the bunch is the LSiC, I received mine about a week ago, and I'm already wondering why I didn't do this sooner. I will also say, that it matches up much better with my CRS's, but I can't speak for the +'s. Good luck.

What William said. If you are already in the red, there is no point in going deeper in. There will be other deals to come along when you replenish your funds.

Common sense should tell you this.:rolleyes: Keep on not following the rules of common sense, soon you will be back here having a fire sale of all the gear that you shouldn't have bought till you actually had the money to pay for them.
