I have 2 pair of Paradigm CS-50R in-walls, current product, retails at $220/pair, looking to get $140/pair. New, sealed boxes.

Pdime CS-50R

I also have 1 pair of Klipsch IC-525 in-walls, new old stock (made in 2000), retail was $210/pair, looking to get $105/pair. Box has been opened, but never used.

Klipsch IC-525

Cheers,
Russ

Russ... if you have to kill me after telling me this, then I don't want to know... but how/why do you seem to have so many pair of speakers for sale that appear to be new/little used and have really great prices? I swear if we met on the street, you'd pull back a long trench-coat with various bookshelf speakers hanging inside... "hey buddy, wanna buy some speakers?"

    Mark,

It's no real secret actually, anyone could and can do it. What it involves is checking sources (thrift stores, pawn shops, ebay, other online used stereo outlets, and local stores). They key is being consistent.

A lot of people get discouraged because they will go 'deal hunting' one day, and find nothing. You need to find your own usual haunts (that are not out of the way), and hit them as often as possible.

For instance, at my last desk job, I would bring a sack lunch everyday. I'd actually eat it AT my desk WHILE I worked. Then, I would head out for my 'official' lunch hour, and hit the pawn/thrift/brick and mortar stores in the area. In and out, they either have something or not. I did this at LEAST 3 times a week. (and learned that one thrift store puts new electronic goodies out at 11am SHARP everyday - I'd get first pickings)

That's just ONE way to increase your good audio kharma odds.

Another, if you have local high-end shops you hit, and they get to know and recognize you, don't be afraid to ask 'hey, whatcha got in the back?' You'd be suprised what answers you get.

    Cheers,
    Russ

This is how i now make side money for the last several years, flea markets, pawn shops, antique/junk stores which are plentyful around here,, i have found some real money makers at the flea market we have here.. found Coleman coolers for 5-15 bucks which sold for 2-3 hundred.. glassware, not much audio.. but Russ is right.. its the hunt.. and re-check that gets what ya want and cheap.. just takes time.

Actually, I think they (the pdimes) would sound a *little* better than your R10's. Where are you residing these days Ganzo? They don't weigh much, I can probably cover shipping, or at least split it with you.

And yes, your check is welcome is welcome here, no wait, no BS.

Don't be shy on the Klipsch either fellas, they aren't your typical horn-loaded job. The run 90db 1w/1m, and sport a fabric (silk) 1 inch (swivel) dome. (these would probably be the *closest* match out of the two choices G, for the R series)

    Cheers,
    Russ

I just picked up 4 cs-10r's. I thought the 50's would be a little to big for the bedroom. Let me know if you find a good matching center for those paradigms. I've been scouring for a reasonable studio/cc.

You'll like those speakers. They're Paradigms top of the line. They've got huge magnets and produce prodigious amounts of decibels. Now Russ go find me a matching center for $140.

Wallstreet - Gimme awhile to think about it, but I've got a P'digm center & rears that I'm fairly happy with, but aren't matching with my new fronts too well. Then again I may move these mains down to the basement, in which case I'd still need these.

i got these for my dad he likes to watch movies but dont like the speakers sitting in the wall. he wants to get a plasma but i keep telling him to wait or get a dlp tv and make it look like a plasma. his ht will be all my leftovers from my upgrades. i just might have to bag him some in-walls for his mains/center. but that is in the futhure maybe around x-mas for a present.
