If your in the market for these crutchfield has a very attractive price on them right now.
I just picked up a setup from them as they are on sale for $599.99 for all 5 speakers, comes with free shipping AND a free pair of Atrium 5's in white or black. The free atriums offer is good on any polk speaker purchase over 499.00 i believe.
So IMO at $599.00 for the TL350's and the free A'5 a very good deal.

Thanks...nice deal. I just ordered them from crutchfiled as well. What are the good cables (not much expensive) you guys would recommend for TL350 as well as PSW505?

What Sub(s) do you think would be a good match for the TL350's?

The Micropro 1000 that Newegg has for 250 would be great. Fast and tight with extension to 140hz. That's the key since the tl3 sats only extend down to 115. With a psw505 for example you are going to have a hole in teh frequency response. You want an 8-10 woofer with a frequency response of at least 120hz imho.

doesn't the psw505 go down up to 35-40Hz. I didn't understand what you meant by the gap. I thought 12inches 505 would still be pretty nice with tl350 with crossover 100-120Hz?

It's not just about what the sub can go down to, you also want to look at how high of a frequency it can reproduce. If a sub plays from 25hz - 100hz it's not a good fit since neither the sub or the main speakers can produce the frequency between 100hz and 115hz. You want to make sure the frequency response ranges overlap so that your system can play the entire audible range.

Exactly. It goes nice and low for the price, but not high enough. They need to overlap.

Agreed...well Polk manual claims PSW505 to deliver 25-160 Hz and there are tons of threads on this forum claiming 505 as one of the best in its price range (and its now discontinued). TL350 seems to deliver beyond 115Hz so I see overlap, unless, Polk itself can't stand behind its claims :).

Upstatemax/rooftop59 - Did I understand something incorrectly here..? Let me know as I made these purchases quire recently and your comments make me wonder if I should think to return back my speakers/sub. I plugged in TL350 with PSW505 and listened to some favorite music (mp3) but have been feeling...something is missing, bass is more boomy. I allowed receiver to do its auto-calibration but afterwards re-checked and found crossover is set to 120Hz for the fronts. Just wondering if I should have rather gone for bigger bookshelves/towers to make sure I'm not missing something.

If you're getting Boomy bass, look at sub placement first... if It's stuck in a corner, take it out and make sure it's not getting too much room gain. Play with the sub levels and crossover settings to see if it gets better before you start sending stuff back.

Yes I would second arrangement and volume issues. I would say that the biggest causes of boominess is 1. an uneven freguency response of the sub (which could be the subs fault or could be due to room nodes; either way a sub eq would help) or 2. setting the gain on the volume too high.

If after playing with the placement (which can help flatten out the in-room the frequency response) and gain you are still not satisfied, I would suggest looking at the micropro 1000 sub. It is smaller and a passive radiator design and should have a larger frequency response window to better mate with those tl3s. Newegg has recently had it for 250 so keep your eyes peeled for a sale.

Besides the boominess, would do you think of those tl3s???

Thanks again rooftop59 and upstatemax. I'll work on the movement of sub in different places in my living room. Regarding TL3, sure, I'm impressed with them as to how crispy and cleaner they sound..and certainly are better than TL2 (I could demo'ed them at local Fry's). But I honestly, I feel, I'm really not much impressed with them yet except the size/looks and the potential they got...I also listened few floorstanders (Tsi 300/400, RtiA5 in my price range) and think those sounded better. Lsi's are out of my range and Monitors 60/70 were not available for demo nearby.
