I got my first complaint from a neighbor since my system was too loud and especially with the new PSW505. My neighbor said he was banging all night to get me to shut up but I didn't hear him at all. He said his windows were rattling too.
Thanks for the awesome sound and can't wait to build my ultimate man cave with Polk speakers in the future.

"Stereo Wars" is a game I used to play when I rented. Didn't play it much, but, I was undefeated:cool:

John9, what are you up to? I see you've tried to bury an image in all of your posts.

Your previous 6 posts are nonsensical and off topic, with the attempt at the image in each.

Just make sure you hear the police knocking on your door. If they have to come out to your place more than once a year they will be in a nasty mood.

LoL, you sure got a good laugh out of me! When I tested the Polk Hitmaster, I lent it to one of my young co-worker for an evening and it didn't take long for his landlord to drop by asking him to lower the volume as neighbours would complain.

This happened to me 20 some odd years ago. Very basic sound system, no external sub. and on beautifull Saturday afternoon the police dropped by to ask that I bring the sound down. They were not mean but I guess the neighbour was. I have learned my lesson then, invested a little extra money during renovations to move the living the opposite way of the house (semi detached with concrete block dividing wall) but with now HT and bedroom sound sytems, I am always worried about the potential neighbours complaint.

when i was younger...i lived on the top floor of an apartment building on top of beacon hill in boston....when i would crank it up, the chicks would dance all around the neighborhood, because of the way the music echoed off all the buildings...a coupla times some big muscle bound neighbor was yelling at me to turn it down....i flung the door open and told him to shut the fk up! he didn't complain again:)

    I love that game :)

A few years ago, I had some neighbors that had their HTIB cranked at 3am. I went upstairs and asked nicely to have them turn it down just a bit. Not much, just enough that I could sleep. 5 minutes later they turned it up as loud as they could.

So I pulled out some tracks from basstronics and let them have it from my dual 15" Dayton titanic mkIII's. after about 10 minutes of that, their friends went home  I rattled the medicine cabinet out of the wall, but it was worth it. A neighbor across the courtyard thought there was an earthquake. haha.
