Bic F-12 subs question

I have 2 Bic F-12's in my system........

I have the option of using either prologic input or dolby digital input when connecting rca cable to them.....I have both of them in the Dolby input ......but should I use prologic instead?

Whats the difference in sound quality? The manual is very vague as to which to use.

I'm kinda confused. The sub itself only has one RCA input for LFE in and your receiver has 2 LFE outs, but they both output the same signal since it is a 9.2 receiver. Can you clarify your question?

Maybe I am confused but I do not recall an input option like this on any sub. Are you saying that on the sub there is a choice for dolby or prologic?
    Front - RTiA5's
    Rear - RTiA3's
    Center - CSiA4
    Sub - PSW110

    I have confused myself.........lol

The Bic F-12 has a toggle switch that has either prologic or Dolby 5.1-7.1...

I have it flipped to Dolby.....but according to the very vague owners manual........I think it says to set it to prologic for more bass.

STRYK, the F12 uses non-standard and rather confusing terminology for a simple matter. Instead of simply labeling the switch to indicate that it allows the internal low-pass filter(subs don't have a full internal crossover)to be either used or bypassed, it needlessly describes instead two types of receivers. Modern Dolby Digital receivers have internal low pass filters for the sub, so the sub's internal filter shouldn't be used. By setting that switch to Dolby Digital, the internal sub filter is bypassed and the so-called "crossover" control has no effect. The setting in the receiver will handle the low-pass on the sub and the high pass on the speakers without a conflict with the setting on the back of the sub.
