Totally agree on the Magnepan 3.6R! That speaker just floats the treble out in space with incredible detail and spacial effect yet is listenable to for long sessions.

I owned ESS AMT-1C's for a while. With the right gear, they do have an incredible tweeter.

I had forgotten about the A/D/S speakers mentioned. I did not own them, but remember listening to them in various places and always being impressed.

My thoughts also except I have the 2.6R's with a ribbon and these are all tops along with my Newform Research R645's Ribbons.

The tweeter in a ADS along with the bubble midrange in the L710's were really clear and lifelike. I wish I didn't have to sell them awhile back. I might still repurchase another set of them to keep forever.

It's good to see other's with fond memories of the ESS Heil tweet. My dad bought a pair of AMT1a's in 1978? and that was my intro to music along with a TEAC 650A tape deck, B&O 4200 turntable, and I believe a integrated Tandberg amp. The AMT's are in storage but one needs a passive radiator redone but the HEIL's are still good. They are mine when I want them, just don't have the space for now and am enjoying my polks too much to part w/ any yet.
2-ch System: Parasound P/LD 2000 pre, Parasound HCA-1000 amp, Parasound T/DQ Tuner, Phase Technology PC-100 Tower speakers, Technics SL-1600 Turntable, Denon 2910 SACD/CD player, Peachtree DAC iT and X1asynchorus USB converter, HSU VTF-3 subwoofer.

I would have to say the Berylium tweeter from JM Lab is pretty freakin sweet and the tweeter Wilson uses is pretty awesome too in the Alexandria...

In the affordable world - the Milenium is by far my favorite... the Revelator is fun too! :)
    - Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

I got distracted after writing the post and when I came back to this computer, I checked and didn't see the post was up on the page.( I should've refreshed the page) So I thought, I forgot to send it off.

Can our "Moderator" erase my second "echo post" please..?:

I saw the Emit mentioned. The Kappa one does sound great and lifelike also.
