Speaker Stands for FXi A6
I knew I didn't want to mount these on the wall as I thought they would look out of place just hanging there. Normally I would go with Skylan stands, but I wasn't looking to spend that much just for surround speakers, so the hunt was on. I found these, http://www.sanus.com/ca/en/products/speaker-foundations/sp-natural/NF30 with a cherry post to match the fronts and center. I was able to purchase a pair for considerably less than retail and they arrived the next day. As I was assembling the top plate on the first stand, one of the screw holes stripped out with no effort on my part. I drilled it out, glued in a dowel, drilled a pilot and was back in business. Not a biggie, but not something one should have to deal with on a brand new item. After getting them in place, speakers on top I stood back and didn't like what I saw. The large size of the speakers with their triangular shape looked silly on top of the stands.....what was I thinking!?!
Ok, back to the hunt. I decided on these, http://www.sanus.com/ca/en/products/speaker-foundations/sp-ultimate/UF30# Even though these were more than I wanted to spend and are probably overkill, I knew they were going to be a better fit with 3 beefy posts and the triangular base complimenting the speakers. Some of the pictures I found make them look gray and in fact, Sanus says they are a speckled gray, but the posts and top plate are black with the resin base being more of a dark speckled gray. I was able to purchase a pair of these for a little less than the going rate with free shipping to boot. They arrived the next day. Picking up the shipping carton told me these were in another league. Just one of the steel posts weighs more than one entire NF30 stand, no joke. Assembly was a breeze and after getting everything set up I can say that these stands are the perfect match for the FXi A6.

There are a couple members with that stand. It's very nice and even better when you can get your hands on them, very nice choice.
The stands I have for bookies are way overkill but it's money well spent. I don't think that stands should be something done as cheap as possible, rather, spend some decent money on something with high quality and you'll never regret it. I've used the same stands for about 15 pairs of speakers and they've worked perfectly.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint. -
I have the Sanus Steel Foundation stands for my surround speakers and front bookshelf speakers. I'm happy with them.

I've used some Sanus stands in the past for suround speakers and they work very well Jesse. Never had a problem with them.

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion."
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

See what happens when you 2 channel guys venture out into HT territory...a simple thing like speaker stands for surrounds becomes an issue! All kidding aside I wish I'd known you were looking for stands because I have pretty much the same exact stand sitting in my workshop collecting dust since I wall mounted my LSiFX speakers. One of these days I'll get around to putting them in the flea market. They are very nice stands & look excellent with the surrounds mounted on them."2 Channel & 11.2 HT "Two Channel:Magnepan LRSSchiit Audio Freya S - SS preConsonance Ref 50 - Tube preParasound HALO A21+ 2 channel ampBluesound NODE 2i streameriFi NEO iDSD DAC Oppo BDP-93KEF KC62 sub Home Theater:Full blown 11.2 set up.

I have these stands for my side FXI6's

I have them sideways and use the carpet spikes I got them them. They work for what I need and I got them when they were on clearance from a local audio shop and got them for about 60% of retail so couldn't go wrong. Few marks but nothing major.
