Re-capped and repaired my 1Bs perhaps a year ago. I'm TOTALLY THRILLED with the result.

I followed the thread started by inspiredsports pioneering the 198 tweets in the 1B/SRS 2 blade/blade speakers. (Replace the 4.4uf capacitor with a 5.8uf cap on each HF board, and buy four RDO 198s.)

Beyond that, I used inexpensive film caps and non-inductive resistors. If I were doing it again, I would absolutely use the Mills brand resistors as their physical size is smaller than what I bought.
Dayton 1% caps for the HF circuit board
Removed the polyswitches and did NOT add additional resistance to compensate.
Dayton 5% caps and Erse PulseX 3% caps for the LF circuit board.

Have not changed inductors. Don't have any real urge to, either; although some folks that have upgraded the inductors wax poetic--and I wouldn't deny the possibility of sonic improvement.

Two photos of the LF board components. Not sure I have decent photos of the HF boards.

Also installed damping material on the MWs and passives; and attached them to the cabinet with rope caulk instead of the OEM gaskets. Had a defective tweeter so they certainly weren't sounding their best before the project started, but I sure am lovin' them now.

Also did an internal wiring bypass to allow for future AI-1 use; but I'm no electrical engineer and that mod did not work out as well as I might have hoped. I can use either the original blade/blade interconnect (sounds great) or the single-conductor-with-ground interconnect (sounds less than great, but not hateful.)
Clearly, you'd not need to include this mod.
