Sweet to meet local Polkies.
Did you audition the Dared Sl2000A? What did you think of it? Nice little tube pre-amp for not a lot of coin. Mine may never leave.

That one was compared (very, very informally) to the Dared when it was in our little audio circle here. Noel (ND13) owned it, then DKG999 bought it from him, I had it for awhile contemplating buying it from DKG999. ALL212 bought it from DKG999, had it for a short time, my brother bought it from ALL212 and sold it too TOOLFFL after he sold all his office tube rig gear because it got to damn hot in the room.
All the people who owned it were local so it never got shipped around or abused.
It's a nice piece, but I don't think the Dared gives up anything and because the Dared uses tube rectification rather than solid state like the Dodd, with the right tubes it is better than the Dodd. The Dodd is no slouch either. I would own either one.

Thanks H9; That's what I remember reading here before, now that I think about it. I was considering both back when I ended up getting the Dodd. I'm happy with it, but I'm curious to hear the Dared just because
