Shouldn't have to wait too long Conradicles, these are supposed to be a sweet little player(Wolfson dac) and I recall a couple of years ago BB had them selling out for around $140 bucks or so?? Hope you find one soon.

I would think twice about getting Pioneer Blu-Ray players from that generation (BDP51/05/09) right now... If you go to the AVS forums, a lot of owners are reporting that the optiical drives are failing...
While it definitely is a good player and a great CD player, all of them suffer from extremely slow loading and response from the remote. I think it was one of the slowest players on themarket, it can take two minutes to load a blu-ray disc. I should know, I have one.... -
Slow load times dont bother me. I watch like 1 movie a month lol.

I have one but I'm not sure what they are worth..

I'll get back with you soon with a shipping label. -
while mine is about as slow to load as Ozzy on ludes,,the damn thing sounds great ,JC approves....he told me so. (F-1 nut)

This is the 'cocktail' player of BDPs. You can make a drink while waiting for it to load but I use mine mostly as a CDP because of its audio capabilities.
I think it was the Grimster and I who blew the whistle on the BB clearance on these?
I don't care that it's slow either. I think I've upgraded the firmware 4 or 5 times since I bought this?

Yeah they are a bit slow to load but man do they sound great. I use my BDP-09FD for Blu-Rays and use the "Direct Audio" function with CDs. My Polk RT5000 system never sounded so good (especially with the SC-09TX AVR).
I have a cheaper "Region-Free" modified BD player I use too. Next I plan to get a new 3D player with HDMI 1.3 & 1.4 outputs to work with the SC-09TX and a 3D TV.
There's no way I would get rid of the SC-09TX and downgrade to a lesser AVR just to have 1.4 HDMI. I'm looking at players now like the Oppo BD-93 and a few others to add to the rack since Pioneer doesn't make one with both outputs. -
I agree that the 51fd is an awesome player. I also own the 23fd and after all the updates, they load much faster. Not fast like other bd players, but much quicker than when I first got it. Congrats you'll love it. Audio on these badboys sounds saaaaawweeeet.LIVING ROOM:
