I have not been to a traditional movie theater since Transformers II came out. As such I would not know if this happens alot. Interesting...ticket buyers are getting shafted at 2-D screenings dimmed by 50 to 85 percent brightness:

I doubt it's "lazy" so much as "forgetful / stupid."
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

I agree, it's lazyness, the don't make alot of money and sadly some folks just don't care about quality in the workplace.

Now that poster The Moose, how annoying. All that space in the thread for his post, he must think very highly of himself.........

I haven't been to a movie theater/cinema in 10 years, and have no plans of going back. I like my theater; no sticky floors, a$$holes with cell phones, ill-mannered brats, or 7 dollar snickers bars (I know, I exaggerate). Oh, and I can pause for restroom breaks.

I agree however there are some movies I pony up the cash to see. For instance Avatar, Transformers, Toy Story, Kung Fu Panda.

In my case its because as I live in an apartment the volume levels I can watch at are not nearly as fun as the ones you get in the theaters

I just wish it didnt take 6 months to go from theater to DVD. But thats a pipe dream IMHO

I am a normal weekend movie viewer and will probably never stop. I just know new weekend releases will be crazy so I wait a week or two.
