Best Camp Sites in the Adirondacks?

Last year I went to a place around Long Lake that had an awesome campground. Was a lot of fun. Looking to go back this year. Lake Placid and Whiteface Mountain are also nice.

Do any of you guys know other good campsites in the Adirondacks?

    As in sites you have to backpack to? Or drive up to? I love the high peaks and my favorite spot in it is Duck Hole. It is a trek no matter which way you go in. Another nice little spot that isn't so much a haul is Siamese Ponds.
