$350 each. Custom made stands included with the speakers. Everything is in good condition with no issues. Pick up only. No picks of the Adcom but it's in good condition. I'll sell seperately or together. Sorry for the dust.

    I have a pair of these and will most likely never get rid of them. Are they perfect? No, but they are a lot of fun and a true piece of audio history.
    CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

    Two questions;
    -- Are the drivers mirrored?
    -- Original caps or have the crossovers been updated?

    Thanks,

    Greg - Do yourself a favor and do that yourself. You shoud hear them stock then think about what to do next, if anything. The crossovers don't need to be upgraded unless they are out of tolerance but mirror imaging does benefit them greatly.

    You have to keep in mind that not every xover has to be upgraded simply because its old as you more often ruin the overall flavor it had in the first place. Don't get caught up in the toilet engineering that takes place when someone learns how to use a soldering iron and credit card. That's not to say there isn't a benefit, as this is THE place to go for Polk advice, but it shouldn't be the fall back or SOP for everything. Listen first.

    +1

    I would love be able to hear these speakers one day, if simply due to how unique they are.

    I didn't mean to imply there was anything wrong with stock condition. I know may people mod these just as we mod our Polks and was just curious if they were stock or not as I couldn't tell from the photos. They look great!

    The speakers are mirror imaged. I'm not certain if the crossovers are original or not. I suspect they are. I do know they were refoamed shortly before I bought them 5 or 6 years ago. They are wonderful sounding speakers but I'm going in a different direction. They will be missed.

    Greg, one of my audio buddies here in town used to have 3 pairs of DQ 10's. I heard them in various stages of upgrading. He finally settled on some Clarity ESA's and a full mirror image redux. The transformation was incredible. Drivers are still avail from Ragnar, etc. He built some very nice OEM stands for them. At one point he had two pairs at the same time. He has sold them and moved on to Maggies, which he has modified very nicely as well.

    IMO, they are worth it and like SDA's are a bit unique. Butt ugly when the cloth is off. Find the nicest pair you can and then like Mark said, do the work yourself. There are some options and from what I understand an very good DIY network to help. If you get them and want some direction I can hook you up with my buddy. He is a CP member but doesn't post too often, ALL212. He may even have posted about his experience when he was upgrading his DQ10's.

    One of the speakers I heard years ago that I remember being most impressed. These look like a very nice set. Wish they were less than a days drive to get them. Someone will be very happy. GLWYS!!

    BTW I have new Dahlquist badges for these. Not a big deal but nice. I won't be upset with lowball offers. I'll just possibly decline. :biggrin:
