Sorry it has taken me so long to post my review. A lot of people on here helped me with my decision and were waiting on my thoughts. So here they are. I REALLY like these speakers. The highs and bass are fantastic. The midrange is a bit thin though. I listen to many types of music, but modern rock and classic rock tend to be my favorites. The sound from these listening to any Pink Floyd is great. Any types of more "guitar driven" rock take some time with speaker placement. Right now I am limited in where I can place my speakers, but I am moving into a new hosue soon and can let you know how they sound in a larger room. These speakers finally get loud when to volume is WAY up (my Onkyo has 100 wpc) so I am considering and amp to open them up a little more sometime down the road. These are probably the best home theater mains I have ever heard (that doesn't mean there aren't better ones out there) and they bring tons of BOOM to any soundtrack. I ended up buying these from Crutchfield for about $1400 with a free sub included. Then a month later they went on sale for $150 less and I got that credited back to me. So considering the value of the sub and the sale I paid about $1000 - $1100 for these speakers, which is right about where they should be. The mids need fixed to be worth any more, but I'll see how it sounds in a new room with more power sometime soon. Thanks to all that helped me with the RTi's, I really do love these speakers.

Dude, see if you can get again another price adjustment from Crutchfield. I got 2 pairs of the 150s from CC for the price you paid.

I just checked online and they are selling for $899, so only like $100 less than I paid.

    chluffey,

Congrats on your speakers and good on ya for the follow up post. If I may make a suggestion, think about dumping the Monster cable. At least the IC's, they make the biggest difference. Look at MIT, Transparent, Acoustic Zen, Nordost, etc.
Any of those will help open up the mids and you'll get much better detail.

Thanks F1, I'll look into that ASAP. Any added mid will be beneficial until I move and can experiment more with placement
